About

The TEAM-WORKS Academy is a program of the Washington Chapter of HOPE worldwide.HOPE worldwide is a faith-based relief and development organization founded in 1991 that is dedicated to serving the poor and needy. Our global community of employees, volunteers and partner organizations brings hope and changes lives by providing humanitarian aid on all six occupied continents.

The Washington Chapter of HOPE worldwide is dedicated to providing services to at-risk individuals in the Puget Sound region through seasonal days of service and our signature program, the Mack Strong TEAM-WORKS Academy. This program was founded in 2002, growing out of the volunteer work of Seattle Seahawks fullback Mack Strong and Zoe Higheagle Strong.

Our Leadership

The TEAM-WORKS Academy programs were founded by Mack and Zoe Higheagle Strong. Mack spent over 14 years as a fullback for the Seattle Seahawks (link to his stats page), achieving many awards for his talent on the field and his character off the field. Mack currently works as a sports media analyst and a motivational speaker (link to Strong Alliance) for corporate and community organizations. Zoe provides vital leadership as the Chapter Executive for the Washington Chapter of HOPE worldwide. She is a member of the Nez Perce tribe. The Strongs have personally developed the TEAM-WORKS Academy program curriculum, which has received national recognition.

Student Success

TEAM-WORKS Academy students show dramatic gains in each of the 3 areas of curriculum testing: Strong Mind, Strong Body & Strong Character. Our students gain on average, almost a full grade-level in their math and reading abilities. Our students also show sharp increases in their physical activity levels and their ability to use critical-reasoning skills.
